Flow, as described by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, is the mental state where someone performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the activity.
A player promise is what you as a developer promise your players they will experience in your game. It gives you a focus and the players something to look forward to. It is a great tool to use from early development to focus your team.
